More children than ever are being raised by their grandparents in British Columbia. In 2006, over 65,000 children in Canada lived with at least one grandparent. Now, at least 10,000 of those children live in British Columbia alone.

As I write these words, hundreds–perhaps thousands–of Christians are waiting in anticipation of the rapture, which, they have come to believe, is destined to take place on Saturday, May 21, 2011.

(Acts 1:14 makes reference to Jesus’ brothers being among the post-Easter believers, but does not give any names.) The Jerusalem Council is the title usually given to the head-on confrontation between Paul and the Judaizers around AD 49. Paul and Barnabas returning from the first missionary journey to Asia Minor were summoned to Jerusalem to appear before the church.
